Brad Neuberg Strategic Advisor

Brad's role at Emerging Futures draws upon his deep experience with software development, start-ups, and knowledge of space technologies. He is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Dropbox on the Machine Learning team, having most recently built an optical character recognition system for millions of users using deep machine learning and computer vision. Previously, he founded Inkling Habitat, a scalable publishing environment for interactive content. He also created Coworking, an international grassroots movement to establish a new kind of workspace for the self-employed. Brad met Jeffery Greenblatt when he was at Google, building software for the Google Docs team and helping to push forward such web technologies as HTML5. Brad has a history of innovation, whether working with Douglas Engelbart, the inventor of the computer mouse and hypertext, on the HyperScope project; exploring deeply collaborative web browsers with Paper Airplane; working on one of the first web-based RSS aggregators; and more.

A serious space enthusiast, Brad has acquired a remarkable knowledge of space activities, regularly following developments at NewSpace companies like SpaceX, Blue Origin, Made In Space and Planetary Resources, NIAC- and DARPA-funded projects, and long-term efforts like Breakthrough Starshot, 100 Year Starship, Tau Zero and Long Now.
