Emerging Futures' Chief Scientist was invited to present his research on space geoengineering at the first-ever Gordon Research Conference on climate geoengineering in Newry, Maine. The effects of climate change may become severe enough even with large reductions in greenhouse gas emissions that such intervention may become necessary. Greenblatt has identified space-based approaches as potentially synergistic with the development of the space economy. The conference takes place July 24-28, 2017.
